Branding Brand Obtains $7.5 M From Insight Venture Partners, Others (Daily Deal Media)

Mobile commerce platform, Branding Brand, has obtained $7.5 million from outside investors for the first time. The platform, which is used by Costco, Ralph Lauren, American Eagle Outfitters, and Sephora among others, has obtained funds from Insight Venture Partners, CrunchFund, and Eastern Advisors. The business will use the fresh funds to develop technology, acquire more customers, and as operating expenses.

Branding Brand was founded in 2008 by three Carnegie Mellon University alumni and launched its platform in 2009. It helps brands extend their reach seamlessly to the smart phone and tablet space from the in-store experience. It is one of the largest m-commerce service providers and has increased employee count from 10 to 100 in two years.
